Relaxation before sleep is important

If your brain is relaxed before going to sleep, the effects of alpha waves can help calm your stress and lead to high-quality, natural sleep.
On the other hand, if your brain is tense before bed, it becomes harder to fall asleep and the quality of your sleep decreases.
A tense brain state can be caused by worries about the next day, excitement over something you're looking forward to, or mental stimulation from watching TV, using a smartphone, or playing games—essentially, any state where your brain is highly active.

That's why it's important to fully relax before sleep and encourage the release of alpha waves.
Some commonly known methods to promote alpha wave activity include: soft orange lighting, the sound of flowing water (like a stream), taking a warm bath, closing your eyes in a quiet environment,
pleasant aromas such as aromatherapy scents, or doing a gentle stretch in a comfortable setting. Of course, each person has their own preferences, so try what works best for you.

For example, imagine a bedroom with soft orange indirect lighting, the calming scent of lavender, a quiet atmosphere, a room temperature of 25°C with 60% humidity,
a warm bath taken an hour and a half before bed, followed by light stretching right before sleep—and falling asleep between 10 p.m. and midnight.
Wouldn't that lead to an incredibly high-quality sleep?
Well, easier said than done—but still worth trying! (laughs)
